The Parallel Pavilion is based in Barcelona, the perfect city to develop a proposal. Barcelona a city, which covers every area from human knowledge: History, Politics, Architecture, etc. The proposal seeks to include the history of the city in the footprint of the Pavilion, not by copying it but by letting it inside. Due to the syncing of the city and coast, the Pavilion develops a relationship with the city, the proposal takes advantage of the location to build a new connection between Barcelona and the port.

Parallel Pavilion is designed specifically to attract people to socialise. The project opens the city and port thanks to the two parallel organic platforms: While the top platform gives a panoramic view of the city, the bottom one allows the visitors to enjoy the main feature of the pavilion: an interactive cinema which shows the visitors the history of Barcelona.
